Tips for self-care based on Pranic Healing principles 
  • Avoid baths, showers, hot tubs, swimming, etc for at least 12 hours after a session (24 hours is even better)
  • Avoid eating pork, catfish, and eel since these tend to cause severe prana/energy stagnation
  • Take salt water baths to cleanse your energy system at least once a week. Rinse off afterward. Use an entire 26 oz container of table salt in a full bath for 20 minutes, submerging as much as possible. Be sure to use table salt and not Epsom salt. If you want to increase the effectiveness, add 4 oz of instant coffee to the saltwater bath (make sure it's "instant" coffee so it completely dissolves in the water and doesn't clog your drain - decaf is ok if you're sensitive to caffeine). 
  • Practice the forgiveness technique for self and others regularly. Here is more on forgiveness with Master Stephen Co. 
  • Practice Twin Hearts Meditation with self healing several times per week. It is very important to do 5-10 minutes of gentle exercises before and after meditation to prevent energy congestion. Here is a shortened version of Twin Hearts for a free, shorter meditation option.  
  • Master Stephen Co offers many free livestream events on his personal website, YouTube, and Facebook page. 
  • Donate to charities that are doing work related to the personal issues you are working through

Tips for self-care based on Acupuncture principles 
  • Keep your neck warm, especially in cool weather or in air conditioned buildings (wear a scarf)
  • Avoid too many cold foods and iced drinks which negatively impact your digestive force
  • Keep your feet warm
  • Honor the season changes through eating with the seasons and dressing appropriately

The things we all know, but sometimes need reminders about
  • Create support systems and home/work environments that offer a sense of safety in order to heal from trauma; find and work with a good therapist; maintain good boundaries
  • Actively work on personal growth, healing, self-education, and perspective taking
  • Prioritize good sleep
  • Eat close to nature emphasizing foods that have high life force and vitality; consider a membership with a local CSA farm 
  • Move in ways that are appropriate for your body; focus on healthy mobility and stability
  • Cultivate self-discipline and consistency
  • Hydrate well
  • Practice creativity, compassion, and gratitude
